Intro

BDPA receives ISSN number from Library of Congress for chapter newsletters as BDPA-DC introduces a new look and feel for 2009 print editions of bdpatoday.  The newsletter's Groupsite,  enhanced by CollectiveX, features archives from previous years, photo galleries, blogs, and discussion forums now customizable for each BDPA Chapter, committee, subcommittee, and other organizations in your community collaborating with BDPA. Invite new members to join.

This month's issue features a first in a series of articles addressing the nation's STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) human capital crises. Daily ICT (information, communications, and technology) industry updates and "Acronym of the Day" are available to members and subscribers via the newsletter's online editions at bdpatoday.org.

Also in January's print edition, BDPA highlights upcoming events for the month of January 2009 which include the inauguration of our 44th President of the United States, the swearing in of our 111th Congress, and the Las Vegas grand opening of International CES--world's largest technology trade show and expo.

The advertising deadline for the special commemorative Black History  Month edition for February 2009 is Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Materials are to be emailed to: info@bdpatoday.org  (See 2009 Media Kit for additional information.)
